Digital Printing Awards - Winner 2025

Label Power has WON the Global Digital Labels and Packaging Awards

in – Excellence with Inkjet Labels Award Category

Label Power is proud to announce Winning the Digital Labels & Packaging Awards 2025, in the category "Excellence with Inkjet – Labels" for its standout Coastal Moon Dry Gin bottle label.

The awards celebrate innovation in digital print for packaging using digital technology to create exceptional labels and packaging. The inkjet category recognises the best work printed using inkjet-based digital processes.

Label Power’s Coastal Moon Dry Gin label was produced on the Epson SurePress L-6034VW using UV inks, finishing done on ABG Digicon. Printed on silver polypropylene, the label takes full advantage of UV inkjet’s compatibility with metallic stocks and its ability to produce layered effects in a single pass. White ink masks areas to create contrast, allowing elements like the gold accents and fine wave lines to stand out. A clear gloss digital varnish adds shine and texture to the light-blue wave artwork, mimicking the sparkle of sun on water. The result is a dynamic, multi-dimensional finish that enhances the product’s shelf appeal.

Hot or Cold Foiling

Add a little pizzazz to your product

At Label Power we offer two foiling solutions to suit your budget and application requirements.

Hot Foil

Hot Foil Stamping is a process that uses a heated die plate to transfer a thin layer of foil onto a substrate. The heat and pressure from the die bond the foil to the substrate, creating a metallic colour to the design.

Benefits of Hot Foil

  • High-quality finish: Hot foiling provides a luxurious, reflective, and tactile finish, making it ideal for premium products.
  • Durability: The foil is bonded securely to the substrate, creating a durable and scratch-resistant surface.
  • Versatility: Hot foil can be used on a wide range of substrates with various foil colors and finishes.
  • Cost-effectiveness: While the initial outlay may be higher, flexographic hot foil can be cost-effective for high-volume production.

Cold Foil

Cold foil printing is a process that uses cost effective flexographic printing plates to apply adhesive ink ink onto smooth label stocks, the cold foil is then applied with a rubber roller and the adhesive ink is cured with a UV lamp. This method is popular for printing on smooth finish label materials such as gloss paper permanent or clear, white or silver BOPP film.

Benefits of Cold Foil

  • Cost effective for short to medium runs
  • Quick turnaround
  • Retains substrate texture as hot foil require little pressure
  • CMYK tinting and Spot colour overprinting
  • Inline single pass application, can be applied directly on press with printing.
