Both labels and stickers are manufactured from pressure sensitive or self adhesve material.
Stickers is the term more commonly referred to when you are talking about give aways and promotional and kids labels.
Labels is the term more commonly used for when you are talking about commercial applications.
A pressure sensitive label is a material which has an adhesive glue on the backing. When pressure is applied it will adhere to most surfaces.
Label Power use only the highest quality label stocks from quality suppliers such as Avery Dennison, Raflatac and selected imported stocks.
Semi-gloss paper is the most widely used material because it has a great printing surface and it is very cost effective.
Flexographic printing is a high resolution form of printing that uses polymer plates which image directly on to the substrate (label material). This form of printing is fast, economical and is widely used in the label industry. Nearly all of the label printing presses at Label Power are flexographic presses.
A die is a tool responsible for cutting the shape of the label out of the material. The material is shipped to us in large rolls. The ink, uv or laminate is added to the label material before it is die-cut. A die to the material is like a cookie cutter to dough. Therefore, we have developed a large die library over the past 20 years.
