Listed below are the specifications for the different areas of your electronic artwork. We recommend that you follow these guidelines in order to keep your costs down, as well as, eliminate any problems when your job is printed.
We recommend that all image files be supplied as either EPS or TIFF files. All files should be suppied in CMYK format. The recommended pixel resolution is 300 dpi. We take no responsibility for the quality of the scans supplied to Label Power.
When supplying these files, Illustrator version CS2 format or anything below is acceptable. You can also save your files as .eps format. PLEASE CONVERT ALL TEXT TO CURVES/PATHS before sending the files over. If you require changes to text, keep the text in the file as is, and supply the fonts used as truetype font files (MAC or PC).
Please make sure you include all of the picture files when you send us the artwork. Import all pictures into indesign either as TIFF or EPS files.
Quark Xpress, Microsoft Publisher and Microsoft Word files are not supported. Also image files in low resolution are not acceptable. If your artwork contains any logos, please ensure all of them are vectors as opposed to jpeg or gif files to ensure the best outcome possible. As a general rule, please supply all artwork in either Illustrator, InDesign or Freehand formats.
Always supply artwork in the correct number of colours quoted. We recommend you check a Pantone Colour Matching Swatch Book (available from art stores) to choose colours, as colours on screen and from regular printers are inaccurate. Please quote the Pantone colours you have used, when placing your order.
We support 100 & 250 mg Zip Disks, CD-Rom, or Floppy Disks. Please supply a list of filenames (including images & fonts) contained on the disk/cartridge/CD so we can ensure we have all required files. Emailing artwork is preferred, providing the size of artwork is small enough to send. Please email art@labelpower.com.au with the art attached. If requested, a hard copy is also required.
If these requirements are not followed, it will mean that changes to artwork will have to be made and this may result in a delay to your job. To avoid this, please follow these requirements carefully and if unsure simply contact us and ask for the art department.
When requesting artwork to be set up, please supply us with a drawing of the final artwork. Alternatively, our design team will happily come up with a design for your labels. Simply advise us the label size required, preferred colour amount, and any fonts you prefer.
If artwork needs to be set up, or amendments need to be made to existing artwork, charges will apply. Our current rate for artwork is $85/hour. If you would like our design team to create your labels from scratch, the charge is $125/hour.
If you are still unsure as to how to set up your artwork, please email art@labelpower.com.au; or just give us a call on 1300 727 202 and ask to speak to any member in our Art Department.
